Visits to historic wineries, tastings of prestigious Piedmontese wines, and encounters with local producers offer the opportunity to discover the genuine soul of the region, renowned for its exceptional red wines, traditional specialties, and one of Italy’s most celebrated culinary traditions.

Program

 

Arrival and accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the Alba, Asti, or Acqui Terme area.

Dinner at the hotel or at a selected local restaurant.

After breakfast, departure for the enchanting Roero region, renowned for its rolling hills, vineyards, and picturesque villages.

Visit the charming village of Neive, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its elegant historic center and authentic atmosphere.

Continue to a winery in the Barbaresco area, where you will enjoy a guided wine tasting featuring some of the region’s finest labels.

The excursion then proceeds to Bra, a historic town founded by the Lombards and known today as a center of gastronomy and culture. Famous for its cheeses, traditional pastries, and excellent wines such as Arneis, Favorita, Nebbiolo, and Roero, Bra is also recognized as the birthplace of the Slow Food movement.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Today’s journey takes you through the vineyard-covered hills and castles of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

Visit the Castle of Barolo, now home to the regional wine museum and wine enoteca, offering insights into the history of one of Italy’s most prestigious wines.

Continue to La Morra and Grinzane Cavour, where a wine tasting awaits in the historic cellar of Count Cavour or at another renowned winery in the Langhe area.

Here you will taste four of Piedmont’s most celebrated wines:

  • Barbera
  • Nebbiolo
  • Barolo

The tasting is accompanied by homemade bread, local salami, and regional cheeses.

The day concludes with a visit to Alba, internationally known as the city of white truffles and the “city of one hundred towers.”
